ACT NOW: Park Board Meeting
This is the last stop before the Vision Plan goes to City Council.
The board and committees have expressed they are feeling extreme pressure from the public (who they represent) and the consultants who want this plan. We have got to keep the pressure on! Send emails to the Park & Rec Board. Tell your friends to send emails.
We’re going to have to draw a passionate crowd to this Park Board meeting to let them know we care and we’re not going to quietly look the other way while they develop our park.
TALKING POINTS:
- No to Umbrella Non-Profit (Zilker351 is already formed but not yet in control of the park)
- No to parking garages
- No to the amphitheater in the Great Lawn
- No to more concrete
- No to paving/developing
- No to the Welcome Center
